N E Essex Psychologies is an independent training centre based in Clacton-on-Sea in Essex. All courses are accredited, class based and held in small groups. Course fees are fully inclusive of registration and final certification and there are NO additional or hidden costs.
The Centre Manager is a practising Councellor and Psychotherapist, a qualified and experienced FE Tutor and Assessor for Internal Quality Assurance and also an Independent Clinician for Care (Education) and Treatment Reviews in liaison with NHS England. She puts a strong emphasis on self- awareness, lateral thinking and personal development throughout.

For those who have not completed a Level 2 Course prior to enrolling, the Level 3 Diploma will introduce you to using counselling skills, together with the main psychological theories which underpin their use; Humanistic (Person-Centred), Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural theories, as well as integrative theory and practice. You will also learn the importance of self- awareness and personal development throughout. You will be expected to complete a experiential portfolio of evidence as part of the course, which is assessed by the Centre Manager, as well as by internal and external quality assurers.
The course includes aspects of the NHS Knowledge and Skills Framework; equality & diversity, personal and people development, communication, interventions and treatment, as well as an in- depth analysis and application of psychological theory through advanced counselling skills practice sessions.
You will also learn more about using counselling skills within a range of sector areas not limited to counselling, including Coaching, Criminal Justice, Guidance, Health Education, Mental Health, Teaching, Mentoring and Educational Support, Nursing and Healthcare, Police and Family Liaison and Youth Offending.
One evening per week over a single academic year (term time only)
